Environmental Sample Collection, Shipping & Management
Commodore has extensive experience providing environmental sample management on a wide variety of projects and hazardous waste sites, performed and completed to the highest standards of cost-effective efficiency, quality and safety.
We can design, implement and manage your monitoring needs from the smallest to largest compliance programs.
- Comprehensive Environmental Response Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA).
- Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA)
- National Pollution Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit compliance
- Biological Monitoring and Abatement Program
- Stormwater Pollution Prevention Program (SWPPP)
| We can sample | Whether it is …. |
|---|---|
| Soil | Non-hazardous |
| Sediment | Hazardous |
| Sludge | Radioactive (fissile and non-fissile) |
| Groundwater | Mixed waste (hazardous and low-level radioactive) |
| Surface water | |
| Flow-composite stream sampling | |
| Stream gauging | |
| Collection of flow measurements | |
| Waste characterization |
We can sample almost anywhere – our experience has taken us to abandoned burial grounds and hazardous waste sites, landfills, fields and forests, streams, lakes, and ponds.
GeoProbe® Surface/Subsurface Investigations
Commodore has extensive experience in Direct-Push Technology (DPT) including GeoProbe® equipment for surface and subsurface soil sampling, piezometer installations, small monitoring well installations, soil coring, and soil gas sampling. Direct Push Technology refers to a process of using tools and sensors that are hydraulically "pushed" into the ground (without the use of drilling) to remove soil or to make a path for the tool. Direct Push is a fast and economical way to collect soil samples without generating excess waste to manage. Commodore currently owns and operates a GeoProbe® 54DT track rig designed to traverse difficult terrain.
Ambient Air Monitoring
Commodore provides ambient air surveillance to assess airborne contamination concentrations in the atmosphere. Sampling locations are identified using a combination of dispersion modeling, modeled maximum concentration, source location, and source-specific airborne emissions.
Ambient Air Modeling Experience Includes:
- Stack Monitoring for EPA Permitting (Organics, Metals, and Particulates)
- Dragger Monitoring (Chemical Specific)
- Summa Canister Air Monitoring (Organic Vapor)
